Juan sunbathes under the sun wearing a striped suit and the waves carry his little toy shovel forwards and backwards for him to play with the sand and while he plays he thinks he doesn’t want to take a shower back at the apartment because holydays are meant to do whatever you like and Juan doesn’t want to take a shower back at the apartment even if Mom will get angry and Dad laughs and Juan gets up and walks towards his parents and his sister that hasn’t been born yet with the bucket and the little toy shovel and the sun in his eyes and he wants his sister to be born because children at kindergarten say that only children are stupid and Juan doesn’t want to be stupid and when he gets to his parents he asks Mom when are they going to have a sister and Juan doesn’t understand what Mom says but they get up laughing and pick everything up and start walking towards the boulevard and Juan’s feet burn because the sand is so hot and Dad has both arms busy and Mom has both arms busy too and the sandals are way underneath the basket and so Dad tells Juan to be a man and Juan clenches his fists and grits his teeth and keeps on walking but a tear drops down his cheek and when he reaches the boulevard the cement is even hotter and Mom and Dad are opening the car and the car is even hotter than the cement and so Juan doesn’t think about his sister because his feet are burning.
